Meet Roland

Greetings,

My name is Roland Forrester, and I’m the Secretary of Flyin’ Heroes. I started as a participant of Flyin’ Heroes years ago. The program gave me the camaraderie and passion I missed from the Marine Corps. The more I learned of Flyin’ Heroes and the service the program provides to veterans, the more I wanted to get involved and give back. I know firsthand what the program has done for me personally, and I want to help share the program’s mission with the veteran community. In addition, to my role and responsibilities as Secretary, I really enjoy hosting a program booth at the Midwest Fly Fishing Expo annually. It is at such events that I’m able to share the great benefits that come from spending time on the river with Flyin’ Heroes. I enjoy interacting with our local veteran community and helping to answer any questions they may have about the program. Fishing and spending time on the water is important to me and my life, and I enjoy the chance to share my passions with other service members.
